Defenitly HexChat. HexChat user since 4 years, nothing to complain about. And for Android Phone Users i recommend AndroIRC

Basically an internet relay chat. You can chat to other players that are in the server without actually being in the server.

Yeah I used to use KiWi IRC,but those Dark backgrounds hurt my eyes. Mibbit will do the job tho.

IRCCloud is a good option for those that don't wish to install any applications and want a nice, clean web UI. I can definitely recommend it.

I worked with the team at IRCCloud a few weeks ago to fix a bug that was affecting the #SFSE channel (and likely many others outside of us) where by colour codes weren't parsing properly, leaving some messages (like chat messages) unreadable.
